A goal of BuildSomething.com is for members to connect with others who share their project-building passion. We built a website that allows members to upload plans, follow friends, create builds of plans, and make comments.
The "plans" section allows users to view plans submitted by other users or certified plans from Kreg. Filters and sorting were added to help users find exactly what they are looking for.
Each project plan has its own page with directions, tools, materials, and a parts/cut list. Users can view pictures and videos and post comments for moderators or other users to answer. There is also a "view builds" functionality that allows users to see how others have completed the plan.
BuildSomething wanted to make it easy for people to create an account and become a member. Spinutech built a login that allows users to leverage a social media account they already have or make a new account with BuildSomething.com.
