History

• 2000

  We started Spinutech. We were three college kids from small-town Iowa starting a business after the dot com bubble had officially burst. What we lacked in experience was outweighed by passion. We started working out of our college apartments at the University of Northern Iowa. We joined the local chamber and networked with the "older" crowd. One of our differentiating factors was our content management system, Spinternet.

• 2003

  We moved into our first official space in downtown Cedar Falls. We were a little less wet behind the ears and had a little less hair on our heads. Our new office was large enough to handle our growing team and served our needs well. By this time we had clients in several states and continued to develop many of our existing client relationships. 

• 2005

  We moved into our current ”world headquarters” in downtown Cedar Falls. This move helped us better accommodate our team of seven and better serve the clients we had in over 25 states.

• 2006

  We opened our first office in Des Moines with a whopping two team members. This move allowed us to better serve our expanding team and many of our clients in the Des Moines area.

• 2008

  Flooding in Cedar Falls required us to clear out the whole main floor of our office and relocate to Marc’s living room where we managed to really confuse the pizza guy. Luckily, the levee held, the office was not damaged, and Marc got his home back.

• 2008

  The first annual Spinutech Egg Toss. More than a decade later, Spinutech team members continue to battle to become the top egg tossers each spring.

• 2013

  We expanded our Des Moines office and moved into our current office complex in Clive. As we added to our team, we needed additional space to work and meet with clients.

• 2015

  We became Google Partners! Our cutting-edge technology and history of proven success helped earn us this badge.

• 2016

  We opened an office in Chicago. This move gave us a physical footprint in a larger market. It also allowed us to better serve clients in the area and expand our team of talented digital marketing and web design and development professionals.

• 2016

  As our team continued to grow, we moved our Des Moines office into a bigger space in the building next door.

• 2017

  We became a Google Premier Partner! This prestigious status is the highest Google-certified badge an agency can earn and is based on the number of team member Google certifications, history of large managed ad spend, and proven conversion performance.

• 2018

  We made our relationship status official with our Des Moines office and hung our company sign on the building for all to see from Interstate 80/35.

• Spinutech Today

  Today, we serve clients in all 50 states and ten other countries. Our team has grown in both size and experience over the years. We continue to burst at the seams with passion for what we do. We've built strong partnerships with our clients that are mutually beneficial and long-lasting.
